Reflection
My experience with this module was unique to say. I was shocked because
this subject had a lot more note-taking than I initially thought. But after
I had finished all the lecture notes it was fine from then. My experience
with the assignments was ok. Mr Vinod did give a lot of good feedback and
was willing to help students when they asked for help so that was nice. The
assignment that I had the worse experience with was task 1. This was mainly
because it was the start and I really did not know what to do, so yes I
struggled quite a bit. Personally, I enjoyed Task 3, as it was more focused
on creativity; but still, it was very technical. Moving on to the lecture
videos, most of the information in the lecture videos is needed so that we
were able to understand how to do later tasks, so I can see why we were
pressured into watching all of them.
What I have observed from this module is that everything was a blur. At the
start of the semester, I was thinking AUGHHH 14 weeks so long. I spoke too
soon, it is week 13 currently where did the time go. We learned quite a lot
in this module, like a lot a lot. Type expression, text formatting, type
construction, design layout, and some. These are probably literally all the
basics, but damn that is a lot.
What I got from this module is experience with using Ai, Id, and Fontlad. I
even used some of the things I learned in this class for my IVN classes.
Other than that I also found out that Typo is very detailed orientated like
the kerning and text formatting. It's a bit satisfying when I finally manage
to find out a way to make the text look nice or make the font look nice and
such. Although it did get frustrating at times. Also, I manage to learn some
coding from this module so ayyy.
