Feedback

Week 3

Specific Feedback
  • Include a short paragraph explaining what 'Netflix' is in your introduction
  • You can remove the 'Research Topic' and 'Research Theme'
  • Move your 'Research Problem' after your 'Rationale' so that you can connect it to your 'Problem Statement' and in your 'Research Problem' explain why it's important to research your topic
  • Make your image bigger and try to use landscape format for the images
  • Please include 2 more research articles for your 'Literature Review'

Week 4

Specific Feedback
  • Provide a brief description of why is Netflix your focus in your rationale
  • Your problem statement is quite lengthy, move some into your research problem. Additionally, you can take out the design thinking part.
  • Rephrase the last paragraph of your problem statement
  • Make sure your conceptual framework chart is clear
  • Findings can be tabulated into a custom table or pie chart; don't put in the raw data pie chart, the raw data is to be placed in the appendix
  • Additionally, findings and results are to be split 3 sections, with your RQ's being the subheading.
  • The literature review section can be summarized version and how the articles relate back to my research questions.

Week 5

Conceptual Framework:
  • Add in your RQ's
  • Place the conceptual framework after the literature review
  • Follow the order, title>what users did in the survey>RQ's>3 areas of responses
  • A paragraph explaining what conceptual framework is and what my conceptual framework represents
Literature review
  • Summarize the table; number the table
  • Can link the Google sheets
  • RQ's cannot be the sub-sections
  • Add a small intro to each section
Introduction
  • Add the Netflix logo or something
  • Add some stats on Netflix's popularity
Research Methods
  • You don't have to add all the questions, can place them in the appendix and cross-reference

Week 6

Survey Framework
  • Remove the red and green boxes in the diagram
Research Methods
  • Remove the subheading 'Questionaire Design' since you didn't follow any methods of designing your survey
  • You can change the 'Questionnaire Design' to Something like Survey form
  • The survey link put it under your tool section
  • Keep it simple, like your survey distribution part, just say the survey was carried out when
  • Treat this writing like a report, keep it short and simple.
Results & Findings
  • Try to summarize it further; you can try and make an infographic to display the results and then elaborate on that.

Week 7

Results & Findings
  • Make use of cross-reference. Don't add so much in
Discussion
  • Make use of cross reference again here
  • Don't say 'As mentioned in the literature review...', cite the person
  • You need to be very specific with your content. Explain what is it like here 'information overload' what is it, and what is it important
  • Explain some of the images and what it mean

Week 8

Independent learning week

Week 9

Week 10

Research Methods
  • Cite the source on why you are using a survey
  • Explain a bit about the 'proof of data collection' image
Results & Findings
  • Remove the Excel spreadsheet link
  • Restructure the results and findings sections a bit. The reading flow is weird
  • Add the RQ's to each of the subsections
Discussions
  • Quite detailed.

Week 12

Visual Design
  • Keep working on your visual design, could have some improvements.

Week 14

Visual Design
  • Mind the spacing between your captions (Figures and tables) and make sure it is consistent (consistency, my worst enemy (;´д`)ゞ)
  • Your alignment as well, make sure its consistent.
  • There are some orphans in your body text, you can kern to get rid of those.
  • Page 36, the bottom body text is too close to the page number, you can tweak it a bit.
  • For the conclusion and project recommendation pages, make sure you align the start of the body text with your reference for consistency. Like how for these 2 you just decided to slap the text onto the page (lol, yes I did give up)
  • Overall ok, just minor adjustments.

Week 15

Kreate Article
  • Put the images in
  • Take out the word count part

Reflection

New semester, a new module and I still hate research. This module was stressful, even if we did most of the research in Research Methods. Do I have any clue what I am doing? Hell no. I am not a research person. Half the things I wrote does not even make sense.

What have I learned from this module? Researching is hard, without the proper guidance or foundation, you will just be floundering. Or maybe it's just me that is dumb, who the hell knows. This module gave me enough stress as is.

Hoping I never do any research dissertations in the future and if I do, hoping that I have enough brain cells left to do it. I am thankful for the Sir's help though. I can tell he's trying his best to give guidance where needed. I just don't like researching, I am the problem. Bless Sir for needing to read all the nonsense I wrote out in the dissertation.
