After this exercise, we were given a gallery of BnW portraits to
choose one from and colourize it. I decided to choose the Obama
portrait to colour because he looked happy in it.

Lecture
This week we learned the principles of design which are contrast,
emphasis, repetition, balance and alignment, movement, proportion and
white space. We also learnt how to recolour black and white pictures
into coloured drawings. Other than that, we also learnt how to do double
exposure.
Instructions
Turn a black-and-white drawing into a colour photo with the help of the
brush tool, blending modes and solid fill option. Next, we were to
do our double exposure exercise.
Task
BNW RECOLOUR
We were given a black-and-white image to recolour. During the recolouring
process, I tried to make it realistic by bumping down the opacity and
playing with the hue/saturation. I also realised that I liked lipsticks a
lot.

DOUBLE EXPOSURE
Double exposure is combining 2 or more pictures together, usually done with photography but can now be done with ⁘TECHNOLOGY⁘. We started off with some exercises. After that we were asked to take a portrait of ourselves and double expose them.

Reflection
I struggled a bit with the double exposure assignment. I think it maybe
because of the picture I choose or my skill issue but who knows. Through
this assignment, I manage to learn more about the blending modes and
filter adjustments as well as the clipping mask. I generally enjoyed the
recolouring process because it was like applying make up to an image.
The double exposure exercise where we had to use an image of ourself was
the bane of my existence :D.
