Week 3 Practical : Compositing Collage
Lectures
This week lecture was online due to the Raya holidays. During this weeks
lecture, Mr Fauzi taught us how to use Photoshop to select and crop out
images from images. To select an image that we wish to crop out, we could
either use the pen tool (for shapes with multiple colour) and the magic pen
tool ( used to highlight flat colours only). After that we could just copy
and past them onto our canvas.
Instructions
Make three collages with different compositions but with almost similar
elements with the images provided.
1. Download all of the images here to your computer:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cGcbENrjSksAaMQK9np2jb6ZaM7Y-81l?usp=sharing
2. Follow this tutorial demo as reference to create your digital collage:
https://youtu.be/BlW7F-fTsbE
3. Create 3 different composition digital collages from the images that
you’ve downloaded.
4. Create A4 canvas size (vertical) on Photoshop and start to do the
compositions.
5. Take 3 photo of your digital collage compositions and insert it
on the section below
6. Submit (Turn In) this file in Google Classroom
Work
(I made these collages with filters on top but I dont think we are suppose
to yet so I took it off first)
Figure 1.1 Aquarium
This is based on the one chapter of chainsaw man where the 2 main
characters get stuck in an aquarium and eat the fishes
there(FUNN).
Figure 1.2 Big Fish
This was actually the first composition I made. It has no particular
meaning and is more like a test run. Well I would not say it has no
meaning. I wanted to show people walking towards some kind of entrance
with an ancient deity (the fish ) looking at them.
Figure 1.3 DUN DUN!
This collage was inspired by Jaws.
